About Us
I grew up in Northern VA and tinkered with anything and everything as a kid. Then as a teen I found a love of cars (mostly classics) and became a gneral mechanic at a local shop.
Fast forward 11 years and many classes and certifications later (I can never learn enough about everything in this world) I went to work for a local BMW shop and found people with my same level of quality and integrity! I stayed there for 7 more years. During 18 years and gaining Master Technician status I worked on friends, family, and neighbors’ homes just to learn more. I even bought an older home, gutted it and rebuilt it. It was then that I realized I should be doing this kind of work full time.
11 years ago I took a job as a hands on project manager for a company that does industrial sand blasting, painting and powder coating. This was one of those jobs that you had to know a little bit about everything and things changed every 5 minutes. I traveled the country as an in the field manager, worked in the shop as well as did all the maintenance in the shop and on the equipment to keep everything up to safety standards. I did a lot of work on restoring multi-million dollar art sculptures and working on historical building.
I am a Jack of all trades and needed to be my own boss so I started Traditional Tradesmen. I want to provide quality workmanship for a fair price done with honesty and integrity the way tradesmen did things in the past.
